Macaroni KID readers recognize the family-friendly businesses, organizations, and places that make our area such a wonderful place to raise kids. These awards highlight everything from favorite attractions and play spaces to restaurants, camps, classes, and local shops that families love most.
It’s a great way to celebrate small businesses and show your support for the people who make our community special.
Although we publish three Macaroni KID editions — Cherry Valley, The Eastside, and Greater Snohomish — these awards bring all of our communities together into one combined celebration.
All businesses located within the areas covered by these three newsletters are eligible to be nominated. Winners will be selected from a single combined list, organized by category, so everyone in our local family network can shine together!
Anyone who lives in or loves our local community can submit nominations — parents, grandparents, teachers, and even business owners themselves! You may nominate in as many categories as you’d like.
To nominate: you must be a Macaroni KID subscriber. It’s FREE, and you’ll get weekly updates on family events, giveaways, and local news.
At Macaroni KID, we believe in keeping things simple — and fair. Winners are determined entirely by reader votes, not sponsorships, ads, or paid placements. Every nomination and vote comes directly from our local families, and we actively monitor the process to ensure it remains fair and authentic. 🏆
That means the businesses who earn the title of Family Favorite are truly chosen by the community — the families who live, learn, and play right here.
To keep things fair for all Macaroni KID publishers, nominations are limited to businesses located within our coverage areas. If a business falls outside our region, we’ll happily connect them with the Macaroni KID publisher for their community.
The Eastside Newsletter — Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, and Mill Creek
Cherry Valley Newsletter — Carnation, Duvall, Monroe, Clearview, Sultan, Index, and Gold Bar
Greater Snohomish Newsletter — Snohomish, Lake Stevens, Everett, Marysville, and Mukilteo

- Frameable Certificate — a hardcopy certificate will be mailed to your business.
- Bonus Drawing — all winners are entered to win a $500 Premium Advertising Package.
One subscriber from the nominations and voting rounds will win a $25 gift card to the local business of their choice (based on availability).
